S:t Eriks bryggeri (brewery) was formed in 1859 and was situated on Kungsholmen, Stockholm (and existed until 1929). This beer crate I found in the old attic in the barn at my grandfather and grandmother's farm when I was a kid and I liked it instantly for some reason. Somehow the crate had travelled from Stcckholm to Sigtuna where most likely my grandfather had bought it full of beer at some stage. For obvious reasons I never tried the beer (it was most likely horrible and there is probably a reason why it doesn't exist any more) but little did I know back then that I would one day live not far away from where the beer crate once upon a time was filled up with bottles and transported out into the world.
